Description:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager with a strong background in month end closing and reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of financial closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, managing detailed analyses, and coordinating with auditors. This role requires robust analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
· Financial Closing & Reporting:
o Oversee the accurate and timely closing of financial books at the end of each accounting period.
o Ensure compliance with accounting standards and IFRS during the closing process.
o Ensure proper booking of prepaid expenses and provisions.
o Prepare the fixed assets register and perform regular scrutiny of the balance sheet, profit & loss account, and cash flow statements.
o Coordinate the preparation of consolidated financial statements, including balance sheet, profit & loss, and cash flow analysis.
o Preparation of Board packs, investor reports, and audit schedules.
· Financial Analysis & Planning:
o Conduct in-depth analysis of assets and liabilities, as well as profit & loss accounts.
o Perform variance analysis comparing historical periods and budgeted figures.
o Analyze working capital schedules, AR & AP ageing, and inventory ageing.
o Assist in the preparation of business plans and financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
· Budgeting & Forecasting:
o Develop annual budgets in coordination with department heads and business units.
o Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes.
o Monitor actual performance vs. budget and provide variance analysis with actionable insights.
o Ensure alignment of budgets with corporate goals and financial strategy.
o Assist in long-term financial planning and scenario analysis.
· Auditing & Compliance:
o Liaise with internal and external auditors, coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
o Provide necessary documentation and clear explanations during audits and regulatory reviews.
o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards to ensure full compliance.
· Process Improvement & Internal Controls:
o Review and enhance financial processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
o Develop and implement best practices in financial consolidation and reporting.
· Stakeholder Engagement & Team Leadership:
o Communicate complex financial information and strategic insights to senior management and key stakeholders.
o Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals to ensure high performance and continuous professional growth.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams including tax, treasury, and operations to ensure seamless financial operations.
