Role description

We are looking for a dynamic Agri Business Development Executive to promote and sell drone-based solutions to farmers, dealers, and agri businesses. The role involves lead generation, client relationship management, and driving adoption of precision farming technologies. Candidates should have strong communication skills and a keen interest in agri-tech innovations.

Roles and Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and increase market penetration within the agricultural sector.
Identify key market segments, customer profiles, and competitor landscape to support strategic sales planning.
Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, dealers, distributors, and industry stakeholders to drive business growth.
Generate new leads and identify business opportunities to expand the company's customer base.
Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to recommend product improvements and ensure market differentiation.
Provide regular sales performance reports and market insights to the management team.
Represent the company in customer meetings, product demos, and face-to-face negotiations to close deals and build customer trust.
Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, product, and operations to ensure alignment of sales activities with overall business objectives.

Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Marketing, or a related field
1–2 years of experience in agricultural sales or agri-tech solutions (freshers with strong interest can apply)
Knowledge of drones, precision farming, or agricultural technology is an added advantage
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Willingness to travel extensively to meet clients and conduct field demos
Must be able to relocate near the office location if selected (Perungulathur, Chennai)
