Role description

We are looking for a dynamic Agri Business Development Executive to promote and sell drone-based solutions to farmers, dealers, and agri businesses. The role involves lead generation, client relationship management, and driving adoption of precision farming technologies. Candidates should have strong communication skills and a keen interest in agri-tech innovations.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and increase market penetration within the agricultural sector.
  • Identify key market segments, customer profiles, and competitor landscape to support strategic sales planning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, dealers, distributors, and industry stakeholders to drive business growth.
  • Generate new leads and identify business opportunities to expand the company's customer base.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to recommend product improvements and ensure market differentiation.
  • Provide regular sales performance reports and market insights to the management team.
  • Represent the company in customer meetings, product demos, and face-to-face negotiations to close deals and build customer trust.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, product, and operations to ensure alignment of sales activities with overall business objectives.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Marketing, or a related field
  • 1–2 years of experience in agricultural sales or agri-tech solutions (freshers with strong interest can apply)
  • Knowledge of drones, precision farming, or agricultural technology is an added advantage
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively to meet clients and conduct field demos
  • Must be able to relocate near the office location if selected (Perungulathur, Chennai)
