Internship Overview

As an intern at Avesthagen, you will have the opportunity to engage in research projects involving microbiology, molecular cloning, stem cell technology, induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), CRISPR-Cas genome editing and bioinformatics. You will be actively involved in experimental design, execution and data analysis, providing practical knowledge and valuable skills to help advance your scientific career.

Key Responsibilities

Wet Lab Research:

Culture and maintain microbial strains for microbiological studies.
Perform molecular cloning, PCR and other standard molecular biology techniques.
Conduct experiments with stem cells, iPSCs and CRISPR-Cas systems.

Bioinformatics And Data Analysis

Collaborate on bioinformatics analysis of experimental datasets, including gene expression and genomic data.
Utilize computational tools for data visualization and interpretation.

Documentation And Collaboration

Maintain accurate records of experimental protocols, observations and results.
Participate in team discussions to troubleshoot experiments and optimize methodologies.
Contribute to presentations and reports summarizing research progress.

Education

Candidate Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an M.Sc. program in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Bioinformatics or related fields.

Skills

Basic understanding of molecular biology, genetics and microbiology concepts.
Prior exposure to techniques like PCR, cell culture and cloning is advantageous.
Familiarity with bioinformatics tools is a plus, but not mandatory.

Attributes

Strong interest in hands-on lab work and research.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
