Position Title: Zonal Sales Manager – Cotton & Field Crops

Department: Sales & Marketing

Reporting To: National Sales Manager / Business Head

Industry: Agriculture – Seeds

Work Location: Hyderabad

Role Purpose

The Zonal Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, market expansion, and brand presence for Cotton and Field Crops across the assigned zone. The role involves leading regional sales teams, managing distributors, executing sales strategies, and achieving revenue and market share targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve zonal sales targets for Cotton and Field Crops.
  • Develop and execute annual and seasonal sales plans.
  • Identify new markets, products, and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor activities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Appoint and manage distributors and dealers across the zone.
  • Ensure effective stock planning and timely secondary sales.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate Area Sales Managers and Field Sales teams.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and field visits.
  • Drive product promotions, farmer meetings, demonstrations, and field days.
  • Ensure accurate sales forecasting, MIS reporting, and policy compliance.

Educational Qualification

B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Agriculture preferred. MBA in Sales & Marketing is an added advantage.

Experience

12+ years of experience in sales within the seed or agriculture industry, with at least 3–5 years in a zonal or senior managerial role.

Other Requirements

Willingness to travel extensively and strong understanding of regional crop practices.
