Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a high-potential sales leader who is Ready to be a ZSM. This is a fast-track leadership role for a dynamic professional capable of taking two fragmented states and consolidating them into a high-performing, cohesive zone.

Unlike a traditional maintenance role, this is a construction role. You will work closely with a newly appointed Senior Consultant (Systems & Processes) to implement world-class sales hygiene while your primary focus will be people architecturehiring the right leaders and uplifting the current team's caliber.

Key Mandates
  • Zone Creation & Consolidation: Strategically merge operations across two key states to form a unified, efficient sales zone.
  • Critical Leadership Hiring: You will immediately lead the recruitment for four critical leadership positions to complete your zonal structure in East India
  • Team Calibration & Uplift: Analyze the existing field force. You will be responsible for raising the bar on talent, identifying gaps, and mentoring or restructuring the team to meet industry benchmarks.
Core Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Own the revenue targets and distribution expansion for the newly defined zone. Drive primary and secondary sales through a restructured leadership team.
  • Process Implementation: Partner with the Senior Consultant to roll out new sales automation, reporting systems, and training modules. Your job is to ensure adoption and compliance on the ground.
  • Channel Management: Re-evaluate the distributor network in MP, UP, and Bihar. Correct anomalies and expand coverage in white spaces.
  • Performance Coaching: actively coach Area Managers and Sales Officers who are lagging. Implement rigorous review mechanisms to bridge the capability gap.

Qualifications Required
  • Experience: 710 years of progressive FMCG sales experience. You should currently be a high-performing RSM looking for the next big step.
  • Recruitment Skills: Proven eye for talent. You must have experience in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding sales leaders, not just frontline staff.
  • Turnaround Mindset: Demonstrated ability to enter a low-performing or unstructured territory and build systems/teams to drive growth.
  • Leadership DNA: Capable of managing people who may be senior in age or tenure by leading through competence and energy.
