Role: Zonal Sales Manager – D2C
Role Overview
As a Zonal Sales Manager (D2C), you will be responsible for driving business performance across assigned territories, covering both Retail and Broadband operations. The role focuses on maximizing revenue, ensuring high-quality customer service, and strengthening Airtel's presence in residential communities and retail environments.
Location - PAN INDIA
Key Responsibilities
Retail Store Operations
- Drive timely and efficient rollout of new stores, including staffing, inventory, and IT readiness
- Ensure adherence to all operational SOPs, compliance standards, and service guidelines
- Monitor store performance through KPIs and analytics to identify improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Zonal, Circle, Central) for seamless operations
- Track competitor activities and recommend actionable responses
- Ensure timely resolution of escalations within defined timelines
- Deliver store profitability by achieving revenue and cost targets
- Execute and monitor key business programs across stores
Broadband Operations
- Improve customer acquisition quality and drive growth in high-value plans
- Define and optimize territories for field teams (TSMs) to enhance productivity
- Increase utilization across underpenetrated networks and buildings
- Work closely with channel partners and field teams to drive lead conversions
- Build strong relationships with residential societies (RWAs) to position Airtel as the preferred service provider
Customer Experience
- Deliver best-in-class customer service while maintaining a low detractor index
- Ensure adherence to all customer experience (CE) processes and standards
- Manage and resolve critical escalations with appropriate support
Team Management & Development
- Ensure availability of quality talent across stores and field teams
- Drive team engagement through structured training, onboarding, and development initiatives
- Manage attrition by improving hiring quality and implementing reward & recognition programs
Qualifications
- Graduate (full-time) required; MBA preferred
Experience
- 6–12 years of experience in sales, preferably in Retail and/or Broadband
