Job Description

Role Purpose

The Zonal Manager AIF Sales will be responsible for driving sales and distribution of Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) products across the assigned zone. The role involves managing distributor relationships, expanding investor base, achieving AUM targets, and leading regional sales teams. The candidate must have strong experience in AIF sales and wealth distribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Business Development
  • Drive AIF product sales across assigned zone.
  • Achieve zonal revenue and AUM growth targets.
  • Develop and implement zonal sales strategy for AIF distribution.
  • Acquire new clients including HNI/UHNI, family offices, and institutional investors.
  • Conduct investor meetings, presentations, and roadshows.
  • Track pipeline and ensure deal closure.
  • Channel & Distributor Management
  • Build relationships with:
    • Private banks
    • Wealth management firms
    • IFAs/MFDs
    • National distributors
    • Family offices
  • Expand distribution network within the zone.
  • Train and support channel partners on AIF products.
  • Relationship Management
  • Manage key client and distributor relationships.
  • Provide advisory support on alternative investment products.
  • Ensure high service standards and retention of investors.
  • Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and manage regional sales teams.
  • Set targets, monitor performance, and drive productivity.
  • Recruit and build high-performing sales teams.
  • Market Development
  • Identify market opportunities in alternative investments.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and market insights.
  • Support product positioning and go-to-market strategies.
  • Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with SEBI regulations.
  • Maintain proper documentation and reporting standards.
  • Follow ethical sales practices and internal policies.
Required Experience

  • 815+ years in financial services sales / wealth management.
  • Mandatory experience in AIF sales or AIF distribution.
  • Experience in PMS / wealth / private banking / alternative investments preferred.
  • Proven track record of AUM growth and revenue generation.
  • Strong network with HNI/UHNI clients and distribution partners.
  • Experience managing a regional/zonal sales team.

Educational Qualification

  • MBA (Finance/Marketing) preferred.
  • CA / CFA / NISM certifications preferred.
  • Graduate in Finance / Commerce or related field.
