The Zonal Head – Business and Operations (South) will be responsible for managing, strengthening, and scaling DropX Logistics existing presence across South India. This role involves end-to-end ownership of business operations, expansion into new cities and regions, and full zone-level P&L responsibility while ensuring operational excellence and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and scale DropX's existing business operations across South India
- Drive aggressive expansion into new cities and regions across the South
- Identify, acquire, and manage new clients across e-commerce and quick commerce
- Strengthen and optimize last-mile delivery and quick commerce operations
- Build, train, and develop regional, cluster, and station-level leadership teams
- Own full zone-level P&L including revenue growth, cost per shipment, and manpower optimization
- Establish strong operational processes, vendor networks, and regional partnerships
- Drive performance across stations, dark stores, and delivery sites to meet client SLAs
- Manage key client relationships, negotiations, and escalations
- Continuously improve operational efficiency, productivity, and service quality across the zone
Candidate Requirements
- Proficiency in multiple South Indian languages such as Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil will be highly preferred
- 5–12 years of experience in last-mile logistics, e-commerce, or quick commerce operations
- Prior experience managing Amazon EDSP last-mile operations will be an advantage
- Proven experience managing multi-city or multi-state operations
- Strong understanding of P&L management and cost optimization
- Experience in quick commerce operations (dark stores, hyperlocal delivery) preferred
- Strong leadership, execution, and problem-solving skills
- Experience expanding operations into new cities and building teams from the ground up
- Ability to manage large teams including station managers, supervisors, and delivery associates
- Willingness to travel extensively across South India
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing capabilities
