Job Description: Zonal Business Manager (Cardiac Diabetic)

Position Overview

The Zonal Business Manager will lead and oversee pharmaceutical sales operations within an assigned territory. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, managing a team of Medical Representatives/Area Managers Regional Managers and building strong relationships with healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership Strategy
    • Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
    • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
    • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify opportunities.
  • Team Management
    • Recruit, train, and mentor medical representatives and area managers.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching for improvement.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and ethical practices.
  • Market Development
    • Expand market share by strengthening relationships with doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, and distributors.
    • Organise CMEs (Continuing Medical Education), promotional events, and product awareness programs.
    • Ensure effective coverage of key accounts and institutions.
  • Compliance Reporting
    • Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
    • Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and MIS reports.
    • Provide timely feedback to senior management on market dynamics and team performance.
Qualifications Skills

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or Business Administration .
  • Minimum 15-20 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 2/3 years as Zonal BusinessManager.
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic areas, product portfolio, and regulatory environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
