Role Overview

The Senior Global Workday Consultant Security & Absence Management will be responsible for the design, configuration, testing, and ongoing support of both Workday Security and Workday Absence Management. The role requires deep expertise in configuring secure, scalable Workday security frameworks alongside complex global and regional absence policies, with a particular focus on EMEA-specific requirements. This consultant will partner with HR, Payroll, Compliance, and business stakeholders globally to ensure regulatory compliance, robust security, and user-friendly experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Workday Security

Design, configure, and maintain Workday security groups, domains, and role-based permissions to ensure least-privilege access.

Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT to align security configuration with global and local compliance requirements.

Conduct regular audits of security roles and access to ensure compliance with internal policies (e.g., SOD Segregation of Duties) and external regulations (GDPR, SOX, etc.).

Support Workday release updates related to security, test and implement enhancements.

Act as a subject matter expert for security-related incidents, troubleshooting, and governance.

Workday Absence Management

Configure, test, and maintain global absence plans, accruals, time-off policies, proration calculations, and eligibility rules in Workday.

Specialize in EMEA absence policies (maternity, parental, sick leave, statutory leaves, etc.), ensuring compliance with local country regulations.

Partner with Payroll to ensure seamless integration between absence and payroll calculations.

Support enhancements, release updates, and optimization of existing absence processes.

Provide ongoing functional support and troubleshooting for absence-related issues.

Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Workday Security (role-based security, domain security policies, custom reports security).

Proven experience configuring and supporting Workday Absence Management globally, with in-depth knowledge of statutory leave policies.

Solid understanding of compliance and audit requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOX).

Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable and secure Workday configurations.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across global teams.
