Role & responsibilities:
Overall, about 8 years of hands-on development experience in the Wordpress eco system
Experience
- Strong proficiency in WordPress core, PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Experience with custom theme and plugin development
- Familiarity with REST API endpoints from WordPress
- Understanding of headless CMS concepts, using WordPress with a separate front-end
- Experience with front-end technologies like React, Vue, or Angular for decoupled architectures
- Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Build and manage content using Gutenberg blocks and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
- Implement headless CMS setups where WordPress serves as a backend, delivering content via REST or GraphQL APIs
- Collaborate with frontend developers using React, Vue.js, or Angular to integrate with WordPress APIs
- Optimize websites for speed, SEO, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness
- Integrate third-party services (e.g., CRMs, payment gateways, mailing platforms)
- Ensure secure and scalable WordPress environments (including database and file management)
- Manage deployment pipelines and version control using Git.
Additional Qualifications:
- Implement and customize WooCommerce, membership, and multi-language plugins when needed
- Understanding of headless CMS concepts, using WordPress with a separate front-end
- Experience with front-end technologies like React, Vue, or Angular for decoupled architectures
- SEO optimization and structured data implementation
