We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our client's engineering team in Ghansoli, Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be passionate about quality, experienced in building robust automation frameworks, and comfortable working across web, API, and mobile testing domains. You will be a key contributor to CI/CD pipelines and work closely with development teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web, API, and mobile applications
- Build and enhance automation frameworks using Playwright (Java + JavaScript) and Appium
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality assurance
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and define test strategy
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
- Participate in code reviews for test scripts and ensure high test coverage
- Provide detailed test reports and quality metrics to stakeholders
Mandatory Skills
- Appium -hands-on mobile test automation (iOS and/or Android)
- Playwright + JavaScript - web automation scripting
- Web Application Automation - end-to-end test design and execution
- API Automation - REST API testing using tools such as RestAssured or Postman
- Mobile Testing - functional and regression testing on real devices/emulators
- CI/CD Integration - experience with pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
- Java + Playwright - automation development in Java with Playwright bindings
Strong Advantage
- Solid Java coding skills - ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable code
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber
- Familiarity with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr)
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
- Experience with performance/load testing tools
