Role Description
We are looking for a
WordPress Developer with around
2+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites. The ideal candidate should have strong fundamentals in WordPress core, themes, plugins, and front-end customization, with an eye for performance, usability, and responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites
- Customize themes and plugins as per business requirements
- Build responsive UI using HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Integrate third-party plugins, APIs, and tools
- Ensure website performance, security, and scalability
- Fix bugs, perform updates, and handle ongoing maintenance
- Collaborate with designers, content teams, and backend developers
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
Technical Skills
Required Skills & Experience
- 2 years of experience in WordPress development
- Strong knowledge of WordPress core, themes, and plugins
- Experience with PHP in WordPress context
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
- Experience with custom post types, hooks, shortcodes
- Knowledge of MySQL basics
- Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery, etc.)
Tools & Practices
- Experience with version control (Git)
- Basic understanding of SEO best practices
- Knowledge of website optimization and security
- Experience working with hosting environments and cPanel
Good to Have
- Experience with WooCommerce
- Knowledge of REST APIs
- Exposure to performance optimization tools
- Familiarity with UI/UX best practices

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred)
