Summary
The Techno-Functional Consultant will be responsible for the configuration, development, and support of the Blue Yonder (formerly JDA/RedPrairie) Warehouse Management System (WMS). This role requires a blend of functional expertise in warehouse operations and strong technical skills in MOCA programming to deliver effective supply chain solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Functional Expertise:
- Gather and analyze business requirements from warehouse operations teams (e.g., Receiving, Putaway, Picking, Shipping).
- Configure the Blue Yonder WMS application to meet functional business needs (e.g., location definitions, labor standards, wave management).
- Translate business needs into technical specifications for development teams.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide post-go-live support.
- Technical Development (MOCA):
- Design, develop, and modify MOCA (McHugh Open Concept Architecture) commands and scripts to customize WMS functionality.
- Develop and maintain integrations between WMS and other systems (ERP, TMS, automation) using Integrator or other interfacing tools.
- Create and modify reports, labels (NiceLabels/Jasper), and screens (DDA/Page Builder).
- Utilize SQL/PL-SQL for data analysis, queries, and complex troubleshooting.
- Support & Maintenance:
- Diagnose and resolve complex production issues related to WMS functionality and custom MOCA code.
- Perform system testing, including unit, integration, and performance testing.
- Maintain technical and functional documentation for all changes and configurations.
Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with Blue Yonder (JDA/RedPrairie) WMS implementations or support projects.
- Strong proficiency in MOCA scripting and WMS technical development.
- Solid functional understanding of core Warehouse Operations and Supply Chain processes.
- Experience with SQL (Oracle or MS-SQL Server) for database queries and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both technical teams and business users.
