Job Description:
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled WLAN Protocol Testing Engineer with strong experience in Wi-Fi protocol validation, testing, and debugging. The candidate should have hands-on experience in WLAN technologies, protocol analyzers, and test automation for wireless communication products.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform WLAN protocol testing and validation for Wi-Fi products and solutions.
- Analyze and debug IEEE 802.11 protocol issues using packet analyzers/sniffers.
- Execute functional, interoperability, regression, and performance testing.
- Work closely with development teams to reproduce and resolve WLAN issues.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for WLAN testing.
- Validate Wi-Fi features such as roaming, security, throughput, and connectivity.
- Prepare test plans, test cases, and detailed defect reports.
- Support certification testing for Wi-Fi compliance.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of WLAN / Wi-Fi protocols:
- 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax
- WPA/WPA2/WPA3
- Roaming, QoS, MU-MIMO, OFDMA
- Hands-on experience with:
- Wireshark
- Sniffers / Packet analyzers
- WLAN testing tools
- Strong debugging and log analysis skills.
- Experience in Linux environments and networking concepts.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, UDP, and routing concepts.
- Familiarity with automation using Python/Shell scripting is preferred.
- Experience in interoperability and performance testing.
