Role Summary

The Wi-Fi Alliance Certification Engineer is responsible for validating, testing, and certifying Zebra mobile computers, scanners, printers, and IoT devices for compliance with Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA) standards. The role ensures Zebra products meet industry-standard Wi-Fi performance, interoperability, and security requirements before release.

Key Responsibilities

1. Wi-Fi Alliance Certification & Compliance- Execute WFA test plans for Wi-Fi CERTIFIED, WPA2/WPA3, Wi-Fi 6/6E/7, Passpoint, Agile Multiband, and QoS programs.- Configure DUTs and run tests using WFA-approved test beds and tools.

2. Interoperability (IOT) Testing- Validate interoperability with routers, enterprise APs, controllers, and reference Wi-Fi Alliance devices.- Reproduce customer issues from enterprise and industrial environments. 3. Test Planning & Automation- Create test plans, procedures, and automation scripts (Python/Robot Framework).- Run regression tests for firmware, drivers, and WLAN modules.

4. Debugging & Issue Analysis- Collect logs using Wireshark, Omnipeek, ADB, logcat, and chipset tools.- Work with chipset vendors and Zebra engineering to resolve issues.

5. Documentation & Reporting- Prepare certification documentation and submissions to Wi-Fi Alliance.- Maintain defect reports, dashboards, and validation summaries.

6. Collaboration- Work with chipset vendors, Zebra OS/WLAN teams, regulatory teams, and WFA certified labs.

Required Skills & Qualifications-

Strong understanding of IEEE 802.11 standards.

- Experience with enterprise WLAN solutions (Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, Extreme).

- Hands-on with Wi-Fi Alliance tools: CAPI, test bed automation, WFA scripts.

- Skilled in packet analysis, RF debugging, and WLAN configuration.

- Proficiency with Wireshark, iperf, and Android debugging tools.

Preferred Experience-

58 years in Wi-Fi testing or wireless networking.

- Experience with Zebra devices (TC, MC series).

- Familiarity with WFA certification labs (CTIA, UL, TTA, Atlab).
