The Job
As a Azure Data Engineer, you will be part of a growing data engineering team building scalable and secure data platforms for SaaS, multi-tenant applications.
You will work closely with senior engineers to develop data pipelines, perform transformations, and support event-driven data workflows while continuously learning modern Azure data technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Synapse and Spark notebooks.
- Perform data ingestion, transformation, and incremental loading from multiple sources.
- Support background processing and automation using Azure Functions.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases to model and manage data.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues and performance bottlenecks.
Essential Requirements
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (Pipelines, SQL pools).
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, or Cosmos DB.
- Good SQL skills and basic data modelling knowledge.
- Understanding of incremental loads, CDC, and performance tuning.
- Basic knowledge of Azure security (Managed Identity, RBAC, Key Vault).
Desired Skills
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric or Delta Lake / Parquet formats.
- Basic understanding of event-driven or asynchronous processing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and collaborative development practices.
- Strong logical thinking and willingness to learn.
