Job Description
We are seeking a skilled
Windows Administrator / Infrastructure Specialist to manage and maintain our enterprise IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in
Windows Server Administration,
automation scripting, and
infrastructure monitoring to ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022).
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and WSUS.
- Perform user account management, access control, and permissions setup.
- Troubleshoot and resolve server, storage, and network-related issues.
- Implement and monitor system performance, backups, and patch management.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Manage virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper-V).
- Ensure system security compliance and coordinate with security teams for audits.
- Support incident, change, and problem management processes as per ITIL standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects and deployments.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Windows Server Administration (installation, configuration, troubleshooting).
- Hands-on with PowerShell scripting and at least one other scripting language (Bash or Python).
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Working knowledge of virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V) and backup tools.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, SCOM).
- Basic understanding of cloud environments (Azure or AWS) is an added advantage.
Good To Have
- Exposure to Linux Administration or cross-platform scripting.
- Experience in infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- ITIL Certification or equivalent process knowledge.
