Windows Server Admin

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Windows Server Admin with 5-8 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing Windows Server environments, possess excellent troubleshooting skills, and be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

1. Knowledge of Windows 2003/2008/2012/2016/2019/2022 Servers (Must Have), Server installation, configuration, Active Directory Management (OU/GPO/Forest and domain config and etc.), Hyper-V / VMware - Deployment and management of hyper V VMs, Disk Administration: Shrink Partitions & Share Drives, Disk Quotas, DFS, Patch management, troubleshooting skills in OS & Hyper-V related. Hand-on knowledge of various RAID technologies (RAID 0+1, RAID 1, RAID 5, etc.), Knowledge of Clustering (geo cluster, multimode passive/active). Working Knowledge of File and Print servers, Knowledge on server management tools, Log monitoring/maintenance, and Solid understanding of cloud computing, networking, and storage principles with a focus on AWS. Azure experience is a plus.
2. Cloud administration, OS/server administration, patching, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience. Willing to work on multiple cloud platforms.
3. PowerShell, scripting, and automation experience is a plus.
4. Fundamental understanding of emerging technologies, including Containers and PaaS solutions
5. Able to work on On-Call rotations
6. Able to work independently in a project scenario and do POCs.
7. Experience handling P1/P2 calls and escalations
8. Able to write quality KB articles, Problem Management articles, and SOPs/Runbooks
9. Passion for delivering timely and outstanding customer service
10. Able to Help L1 staff in support
11. Great written and oral communication skills with internal and external customers

Skills and Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience as a Windows Server Admin
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2012, 2016, and 2019
• Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy Management
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V
• Experience with server hardware, storage, and networking
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
