Job Description

  • Knowledge of Telecom, Cable Technologies and Products.
  • Experience in writing Automation Scripts using Python for Network devices/Cable Modem /WiFi Routers.
  • Strong understanding and experience with Network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols, WiFi 6, 6E and 7, DOCSIS 3.0 and 3.1 standards.
  • Good knowledge of CPE testing for Functional, Regression, Sanity for voice, data, RDKB and Docsis features
  • Develop wireless network infrastructure and make recommendations on system enhancements for optimization.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix working environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Hands-on experience in WiFi, Ruckus SmartZone Cambium cnMaestro, BNG/BRAS testing, Cisco IOS-XE and Ruckus FastIron switch testing may be helpful.
  • Certifications like Certified Wireless Network Professional (CWNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Wireless (CCIE Wireless) may be helpful
  • Test planning, Manual and Automation Test Execution, Automation Test Scripting using Python, and Reporting for CPE (Broadband/Cable modem) and Wi-Fi Devices.
  • Interact with multiple Stakeholders, Project Manager, Technical contract management teams and Vendors across the board to for connectivity CPE certification.
  • Identification and Resolution of Field Issues and Defects: Issue Reproduction, Triaging, Investigation, Troubleshooting, Issue Resolution and Defect Tracking to Closure.
  • CPE Lab setup, Lab management - for Broadband CPEs, Wireless Gateways and Extenders.
  • 4 to 6 years working experience in Manual and Automation Device Testing, troubleshooting experience in RF network and in Cable domain including Wi-Fi, Voice, DOCSIS Cable Modems.
