Job Description

Role: Counselor/ Psychologist

Department: Counselling and wellness centre BMU

Employment Type: Full-Time.

Work Location: BMU Campus (Sidhrawali, Gurugram)

Position Summary

The College Counselor will be responsible for providing psychological and emotional guidance to students to promote their overall well-being, academic success, and personal growth.

To create a supportive environment where students can discuss personal challenges, and mental health concerns in a confidential and empathetic manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Student Counselling Support
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions for students dealing with academic stress, emotional challenges, anxiety, or interpersonal issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all counseling interactions.
  • Identify students at risk and provide timely intervention or referrals to mental health professionals when necessary.
  • Promote self-awareness, coping strategies, and resilience among Students.
  • Organize talks workshops and awareness programs on Mental Health
  • Plan and conduct workshops on topics such as stress management, time management, emotional intelligence, positive mental health, and relationships.
  • Coordinate wellness programs, peer support initiatives and campaigns during mental health awareness weeks.
  • Diligent Record Keeping & Reporting.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's Degree in Psychology / Counseling /(specialization in Clinical, Counseling, or Educational Psychology preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 37 years of counseling experience, preferably in an educational setting.

CTC Offered: 69 LPA, commensurate with experience and current compensation.

Skills & Competencies

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Empathetic, patient, and non-judgmental approach.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.

Good organizational and facilitation skills for group sessions/workshops.
