WebLogic Admin (middleware)

We are looking for an experienced Oracle WebLogic / Middleware Administrator to install, configure, and manage WebLogic servers and associated middleware components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in deployment automation, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and middleware platform administration.

Key Responsibilities:

1. WebLogic Administration

• Install, configure, and administer Oracle WebLogic Server in clustered and standalone environments.
• Manage WebLogic domains, managed servers, Node Manager, JDBC, JMS, and security realms.
• Perform deployments of Java EE applications, patches, and upgrades.
• Conduct performance tuning and monitor thread pools, JVM parameters, data sources, and connection pools.
• Configure and support SSL, keystores, truststores, and WebLogic security features.

2. Middleware Platform Support

• Administer middleware components such as Oracle SOA Suite / OSB (optional), Oracle HTTP Server (OHS), and other Fusion Middleware components.
• Manage configurations, load balancing, clustering, and scalability of middleware platforms.

3. Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Use monitoring tools like OEM, Splunk, ELK, Nagios, Dynatrace, or similar.
• Troubleshoot environment issues, JVM errors, application errors, HTTP 500/404/503, stuck threads, out-of-memory errors, and connection leaks.
• Analyze logs and thread dumps to perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis).

4. Deployment Automation

• Work with DevOps / CI-CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible, etc., for application deployments.
• Automate repetitive tasks using Shell scripts, WLST, and Python.
• Manage build and deployment pipelines efficiently.

Job Requirements / Candidate Profile:

• Strong experience in Oracle WebLogic Server administration in clustered and standalone environments.
• Hands-on experience with middleware platforms like Oracle SOA Suite, OHS, or Fusion Middleware.
• Proficient in troubleshooting JVM, WebLogic, and application-level issues.
• Experience with monitoring tools (OEM, Splunk, ELK, Nagios, Dynatrace).
• Familiarity with DevOps / CI-CD tools and automation using Shell, WLST, and Python.
• Good understanding of SSL, security realms, and keystores in WebLogic.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
