Job Purpose
We are looking for a Web UX & Content Officer with 2+ years experience building websites using WordPress CMS. This role does not require any developer knowledge. This role will support the delivery of two major digital platforms: Oxford International Career College (OICC) and English Schools (EFL).
This is a fixed-term, delivery-focused role responsible for building high-quality web experiences by taking pre-written content, defined information architecture, and approved UI designs, and translating them into fully implemented, SEO-optimised web pages across both websites.
The role will work closely with digital product, UX, Marketing, and technical stakeholders to ensure pages are built accurately, consistently, and in line with agreed user journeys, brand standards, and SEO best practices. A key focus will be ensuring content is structured, optimised, and published in a way that supports organic growth, discoverability, and conversion.
This role is hands-on and execution-led, bridging content, design, and delivery to accelerate progress across both divisions, Career Colleges Canada and English Language Global.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Web build & implementation:
- Build and publish web pages using pre-defined UI components, layouts, and design systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality across OICC and EFL.
Content translation:
- Take pre-written content and map it correctly into CMS templates and provide recommendations to better optimise the content in the UI, applying the agreed information architecture, page hierarchy, and user journeys.
SEO execution:
- Implement on-page SEO best practices, including heading structures, internal linking, metadata, URL structures, image optimisation, and schema where required.
Cross-site delivery:
- Support delivery across two major websites, ensuring standards, patterns, and approaches are consistently applied while responding to brand-specific requirements.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with UX designers, content specialists, product owners, developers, and marketing stakeholders to ensure pages align with approved designs and strategic objectives.
Delivery management:
- Manage your own workload effectively across multiple workstreams, ensuring agreed milestones and timelines are met.
Quality assurance:
- Own QA for built pages, ensuring accessibility standards, SEO fundamentals, responsiveness, and usability are met prior to release.
CMS optimisation:
- Use CMS capabilities effectively to scale delivery, flag limitations or enhancement opportunities, and support efficient page creation.
SEO performance support:
- Work with SEO specialists or marketing teams to implement recommendations, track improvements, and support continuous optimisation.
