About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Web Developer to join our client's dynamic team based in Lower Parel, Mumbai. The ideal candidate will possess 1 to 2 years of web development experience and will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting the company's websites and online platforms. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse web projects, enhance your technical skills, and collaborate with experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment. The Junior Web Developer will work closely with senior developers to ensure seamless website functionality, optimal user experience, and timely project delivery.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, Software Engineering, or a related field. Candidates with relevant certifications or a portfolio of projects demonstrating their skills will have an added advantage. The candidate should have a basic understanding of backend technologies such as PHP and MySQL, along with familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Shopify. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot website issues independently are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
The Junior Web Developer will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of the company's web presence. Key responsibilities include:
- Website Development & Maintenance: Develop, update, and maintain company websites and landing pages. Handle basic frontend and backend website tasks, ensuring websites are responsive and function correctly across all devices. Address website bugs, errors, and performance issues. Manage website backups, security updates, and plugin management.
- Platform Management: Work on platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, Wix, and custom websites. Manage themes and plugins, upload products, and implement website integrations and updates.
- Frontend Development: Build and modify webpages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Convert design mockups into responsive web pages and collaborate with the UI/UX team to ensure design consistency.
- Project Support: Assist senior web developers with daily technical tasks, including website testing, debugging, deployment, and content updates. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure project milestones are achieved efficiently and effectively.
- Backend & Technical Support (Basic): Support form integrations, API configurations, CMS setups, and database-related tasks. Assist in basic backend functionalities and troubleshooting.
This role requires proactive communication, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work under deadlines to support ongoing web projects effectively.
