Department: Weaving / Production

We are seeking a highly organized and result-driven Merchandiser for the Weaving Department. The candidate must possess strong textile (fabric) knowledge, be capable of coordinating across departments, and support production planning and execution. The role requires a hands-on approach to inventory control, machine planning, and manpower management while ensuring smooth workflow under tight timelines.

• Possess strong knowledge of textiles, particularly fabric types, constructions, and weaving processes.
• Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams including Production, PPC, Quality, Stores, and Dispatch.
• Support Production Planning & Control (PPC) by tracking orders, monitoring schedules, and ensuring timely execution.
• Manage and monitor inventory levels of yarn, grey fabric, and related materials to avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Ensure proper inventory control practices, including stock accuracy and reconciliation.
• Understand and assist in machine planning to optimize loom utilization and production efficiency.
• Handle manpower planning in coordination with production teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Track production progress and highlight delays or bottlenecks proactively.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to production and inventory.
• Ensure adherence to delivery timelines and quality standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics and weaving processes is mandatory.
• Good understanding of PPC, inventory management, and production workflows.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems for production tracking, inventory management, and reporting.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple departments efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

• 2–5 years of experience in merchandising or production coordination in the weaving or textile industry preferred.
