As we continue to grow, we are looking for a reliable and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to manage daily warehouse and logistics activities and support continuous operational improvement.

Position Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring accurate stock handling, timely dispatch, safe work practices, and effective coordination with transport and container-handling partners.

This role offers a clear career pathway to Operations Officer, Operations Manager, and Supply Chain Manager, making it ideal for someone seeking long-term stability and growth within operations and supply chain management. Key Responsibilities

Warehouse operations

  • Organise and maintain an efficient warehouse layout to support smooth storage and product movement.
  • Oversee the receiving, inspection, and correct storage of incoming goods.
  • Ensure goods are clearly labelled with batch/lot numbers and Best Before Dates for full traceability.
  • Coordinate accurate order picking, packing, and labelling as per customer requirements.
  • Ensure strict adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Identify damaged, expired, or non-conforming stock and report issues promptly.

Dispatch & Logistics

  • Plan and coordinate daily dispatch schedules to ensure on-time and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Liaise closely with transporters to arrange truck scheduling, delivery timing, and route planning. 
  • Coordinate with container unpacking teams and transport providers for container drop-off, unpacking, and pick-up schedules.
  • Prepare, check, and maintain all dispatch and logistics documentation, including consignment notes, manifests, and pallet transfer records.
  • Maintain accurate CHEP / LOSCAM pallet exchange records.
  • Follow up with freight forwarders and transport partners to avoid delays or demurrage issues.

Forklift & Goods Handling

  • Operate High Reach forklift whenever required, while also coordinating tasks with designated forklift drivers.
  • Supervise container unpacking activities to ensure accuracy, safety, and proper handling of goods.
  • Ensure trucks and containers are loaded and unloaded accurately, either by operating the forklift directly or supervising team members.
  • Ensure all goods are handled carefully to maintain product quality and minimise damage.

Equipment, Fleet & Maintenance Coordination

  • Ensure forklifts, warehouse equipment, and delivery vehicles are serviced and maintained in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate routine servicing, repairs, and compliance checks for forklifts and trucks.

Report equipment faults immediately and follow up to minimise operational downtime.

Hygiene, Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and food-safe warehouse environment at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, WHS requirements, and internal SOPs.

Monitor safe work practices and report hazards, incidents, or near misses promptly.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Manage warehouse staff and driver effectively. 
  • Work closely with transport partners, and internal teams including sales, procurement, and administration.
  • Communicate clearly to ensure smooth daily operations and timely order fulfilment.
  • Support and guide team members with a calm, practical, and professional leadership style.

Key Requirements

  • Experience in operations, logistics, warehousing, or team supervision (industry background flexible).
  • Strong coordination, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Use of Carton Cloud and ability to manage schedules, documentation, and multiple priorities accurately.
  • Comfortable using computers, email, and basic Excel.
  • Willingness to learn food safety requirements, warehouse systems, and forklift operations.
  • High Reach Forklift Experience.
  • Physically capable of assisting with warehouse tasks when required.
  • Reliable, mature, and able to take ownership of operational responsibilities.
