Key Responsibilities:
1. Logistics Management
- Develop and execute logistics strategies for timely, cost-effective delivery of educational materials.
- Coordinate with suppliers, production units, and courier partners to manage inventory movement.
- Track transportation expenses, negotiate terms with logistics vendors, and ensure fiscal discipline.
- Monitor shipping processes and resolve logistics-related issues promptly.
2. Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory levels and ensure adequate stock to meet fluctuating demands.
- Apply inventory control practices to prevent damage, pilferage, or losses.
- Forecast demand and plan replenishment cycles with the procurement team.
- Maintain records using inventory management systems for accuracy and traceability.
3. Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Supervise and coach the warehouse and dispatch team, ensuring high performance and morale.
- Work closely with internal departments such as procurement, production, and customer service.
- Encourage a culture of operational efficiency, innovation, and continuous process improvement.
4. Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Enforce adherence to transportation regulations and company SOPs.
- Uphold quality standards in packaging, labeling, and handling of shipments.
- Perform audits to ensure policy compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of logistics, supply chain principles, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in inventory software and digital tracking tools.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight operational deadlines.
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory aspects of warehousing and transport.
