Warehouse Executive

Job Description

Job Title: Warehouse Executive – Steel Trading Location: Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inward & Outward Material Handling

•

Supervise loading and unloading of Plates.

•

Ensure proper checking of material during inward (quantity, quality, and documentation)

•

Coordinate timely dispatch of materials as per delivery schedule

2. Inventory Management

•

Maintain accurate stock records (GRN, issue, transfer, and closing stock)

•

Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconciliation

•

Ensure proper stacking and storage of materials to avoid damage

3. Warehouse Operations

•

Manage daily warehouse activities and ensure smooth operations

•

Optimize space utilization and maintain proper layout of materials

•

Ensure cleanliness, safety, and discipline within the warehouse

4. Documentation & MIS

•

Prepare and maintain all warehouse-related documents (GRN, delivery challans, invoices support)

•

Update stock in IMS & Google Sheets on a real-time basis

•

Share daily/weekly MIS reports with management

•

Manage petty cash and maintain accurate expense records

5. Coordination & Dispatch Planning

•

Coordinate with sales and dispatch teams for order execution

•

Plan vehicle loading as per route and priority

•

Liaise with transporters for timely vehicle placement

6. Safety & Compliance

•

Ensure safe handling of heavy steel materials

•

Follow safety guidelines and use Safety equipment

•

Maintain compliance with company and statutory norms
