The fund is thesis-driven and focuses on supporting early-stage startups in sectors such as New Energy, E-Mobility, Green Hydrogen, Energy Storage, Net Zero Energy Buildings, and Climate-tech solutions focused on decarbonization.

Role Overview

Transition VC is seeking aVice President Manufacturingto lead manufacturing and industrial scale-up expertise across our investment portfolio. This role is critical in evaluating and supporting startups and SMEs as they transition from early production toscaled, world-class manufacturing operations, particularly within theenergy and industrial sectors.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experiencebuilding manufacturing operations from scratch, including shop floors and full-scale plants, and scaling them end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and supportmanufacturing readiness and scalabilityof startups and SMEs across the portfolio.

Leadmanufacturing due diligencefor potential investments, including plant layout, processes, capex planning, vendor strategy, and scalability.

Advise portfolio companies onsetting up shop floors and manufacturing plants (AZ) from site selection and layout to commissioning and ramp-up.

Supportprocess optimization, quality systems, cost efficiency, and yield improvement.

Work closely with founders, operations heads, and plant leadership to drivemanufacturing excellence and scale.

Assess risks related tosupply chain, capacity planning, tooling, and automation.

Leverage industry best practices acrossmechanical, electrical, and industrial manufacturing.

Represent Transition VC in technical and manufacturing discussions with partners, vendors, and stakeholders.

Key Requirements

1012 years of experiencein manufacturing leadership roles withinenergy, industrial, or heavy manufacturing environments.

Prior experience scalingstartups or SMEson the manufacturing side is strongly preferred.

Hands-on experience inbuilding manufacturing plants and shop floors from scratch (AZ).

Strong background inmechanical or electrical engineering.

Experience in sectors such as:

oAutomobile & auto components

oElectrical equipment manufacturing

oEnergy (oil & gas, renewables)

oSolar cells/modules, wind turbines, or related energy infrastructure

Strong understanding ofmanufacturing processes, capex planning, quality systems, and operations scaling.

Ability to work closely with founders and investment teams to translate manufacturing capability into scalable growth.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience inrenewable energy manufacturingor energy transition technologies.

Exposure toautomation, lean manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 practices.

Prior experience working with investors, PE/VC-backed companies, or rapid scale-up environments.
