The Role:
The Data and Analytics Team is central to enabling data-driven decision-making and unlocking insights that drive strategic transformation across the Asset Management business. As the business evolves to meet the demands of a dynamic and competitive landscape, this team plays a pivotal role in shaping scalable growth, operational excellence, and market-leading client experiences through the power of data.
As a Vice President you are responsible for working with key Business stakeholders to understand, design and deliver Data Solutions (Azure Cloud, Power Platform, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Catalogue) services; Insights to measure organizations performance from strategic to tactical layer; enhancing customer/stakeholder experience, quality, value addition and efficiency.
Should be able to work & lead a AI, Data and Analytics, Insights team that focuses on data foundations.

- Experience in dealing with large data sets, has experience with data visualization, and is passionate about AI, Data and Analytics, Insights.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to build consensus by clearly communicating and presenting information.
- Be the voice for all data & analytics needs - partner closely with key stakeholders to ensure we have robust data pipelines and quality / integrity checks.
- Achieve more scale and efficiency for the team by identifying redundancies across business units, functions and teams and coming up with innovative solutions.
- Ensure data quality by monitoring performance, diagnosing issues, and creating solutions.
Leadership and Management
- Lead and manage the Data, Analytics, BI & MI teams, ensuring that staff are managed, trained, and motivated to meet their personal and organizational objectives
- Establish and embed a comprehensive and analytical Data, Business Intelligence model that facilitates achievement of business objectives
- Train, mentor, coach, and supervise team members
Key Deliverables
- Act as a primary operational interface for senior stakeholders, partnering closely to design and deliver solutions to complex technical challenges. Support the continued development of the AI Front Line capability and serve as a bridge between BAU operations and wider AI and technology initiatives, as strategic oversight evolves.
- Own and manage the day‑to‑day delivery of all AI Front Line activities, ensuring work is completed on time, to expected quality standards, and in line with agreed priorities.
- Share knowledge and expertise across the AI Front Line team, taking on a pastoral and coaching role that reinforces standards, builds capability, and drives continuous improvement.
- Lead debugging, investigations, root cause analysis, and conceptual problem‑solving to ensure continuity of service and rapid resolution of issues.
- Provide local operational oversight to ensure day‑to‑day stability and effective execution, within an overall governance and accountability framework.
- Strengthen the operating model by improving controls, resilience, documentation, and proactively identifying workflow gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Support business development activities by helping to identify, assess, and research opportunities with new and existing stakeholders.
- Produce and develop insightful, high‑quality analysis to support decision‑making across M&G front‑office business functions.

- Broad experience working within AI, Data and Analytics domain, with strong experience of Data analysis and insights
- Managing & delivering projects/program - Ability to drive projects end-to-end
- Ownership mindset for product. Code released should be confident it's correct, monitored, documented, and tested
- Experience building intuitive and actionable Data and Analytics that drive business decisions
- Problem resolution / incident management experience
- Teamwork - You care about your team and are passionate about helping them succeed from big picture to script level details
- Excellent facilitation and influencing skills with senior stakeholders
- Proven ability in delivering numerically based projects either via staff or other stakeholders

- Capability to identify business opportunities through AI, Data, Analytics knowledge, experience and tools (such as Azure Data Platform [Azure SQL DB, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data warehousing/Synapse], Power Platform, Qlikview, Power BI, SQL, VBA, Business Objects, Spotfire, SharePoint, etc.)
- Proven track record of building, leading and developing high-performing data science teams with demonstrated success in talent acquisition, retention, and career development.
- Comprehensive understanding of investment processes, portfolio management, risk analytics, and regulatory requirements in the asset management industry.
- Research based approach to harness detailed capability usage of various Data and Analytics platforms and solutions
Experience:
- 15+ years of relevant experience in Data, Analytics, BI domain
- Proven track record of achievements in Innovative Process Developments, Simplification and Performance Enhancement
- Strong track record of delivery against stretching objectives.
- Experience in various Data and Analytics tools and solution development (Azure Data Platform, Power Platform)
- Experience with alternative data sources and their application in investment research and portfolio management
- Familiarity with quantum computing applications in finance and portfolio optimization
- Knowledge and experience in BFSI/Insurance domain
- Knowledge and exposure to Regulatory processes like Information Security, Data Protection, etc.)
- Onshore/Client site working experience
Educational Qualification:
- Preferably should have Technical/Science Graduation degree with specialization in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering or related discipline
- MBA desirable
- Project management using Agile methodology
- Business Intelligence, Data certification would be an add on
