Job Description

A leading global financial institution is looking for a VP, FP&A to join their Finance team in Singapore on a 12-month contract.

This role sits within the FP&A function, supporting management reporting, performance insights and planning/forecasting cycles at country level. You will partner closely with Finance, Business and Infrastructure stakeholders to enable sound financial decision-making.

What you'll do:

  • Produce monthly management reporting packs with executive-level commentary on key drivers, risks and opportunities
  • Analyse financial and non-financial KPIs across revenue, cost, profitability, productivity and returns
  • Partner with stakeholders to flag performance opportunities, emerging risks and required actions
  • Support Board and Management committee materials, and respond to regulatory or ad hoc requests
  • Conduct external market and peer benchmarking to drive competitiveness and productivity
  • Support the annual budgeting exercise and periodic forecasting for the Singapore entity
  • Coordinate financial submissions across business and functional units for consistency and accuracy
  • Perform variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year, identifying key drivers and trends
  • Build forward-looking financial models to support decision making
  • Identify opportunities to simplify reporting, strengthen controls and reduce manual effort
  • Champion automation and advanced analytics, including approved AI tools, across FP&A processes

What you'll need:

  • Degree and/or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in FP&A, management reporting, forecasting or performance analytics within a large organisation (financial services preferred)
  • Strong grasp of P&L mechanics, balance sheet and MIS methodologies, including funds transfer pricing, cost allocations and risk/return concepts
  • Strong analytical skills with sound judgement and the ability to constructively challenge assumptions and methodologies
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across diverse groups
  • Comfortable working with data and systems (Excel modelling, Power BI/Tableau)
  • TM1/Cognos experience preferred
  • SQL (advanced), Python or Alteryx experience is an advantage
