Position Summary
We are seeking a
VP – Finance and Operations to lead finance and operations for diagnostics, medical foods and nutraceutical projects, ensuring smooth execution from concept to commercialization. This role requires the ability to manage cross-functional teams, oversee budgets, optimize operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Lead and manage projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring timely delivery by coordinating with R&D, regulatory, marketing, manufacturing and QA teams.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks and ensure compliance with FSSAI, EFSA, FDA and other relevant standards.
- Oversee the execution of projects while ensuring they align with Avesthagen's strategic goals and timelines.
Financial Management
- Control and manage project budgets, track expenses and provide actionable financial insights to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate documentation, invoicing and cost efficiency across projects.
- Ensure financial projections are met and provide guidance on managing financial risks.
Operations Management
- Oversee manufacturing, supply chain and vendor relationships, ensuring all operational processes are optimized.
- Address production challenges and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other industry standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiencies, cost reduction and product quality.
- Expand the business network and grow the client base to capture market share in India, as well as in the Rest of the World (ROW), Europe and the US.
- Drive revenue generation and ensure the achievement of company deliverables.
- Support team-building initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Effectively communicate project timelines, financial metrics and potential risks to key stakeholders.
- Ensure all projects are aligned with organizational goals and deliverables, maintaining clear and transparent communication at all stages.
Education
Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, Food Science or related fields, preferably from an IIM or other reputed institutions.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in project management, particularly in diagnostics, medical foods, nutraceuticals or related industries.
- Proven expertise in financial and operational management, with a strong understanding of regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams and leading projects from concept to commercialization.
Skills
- Proficiency in project management tools, financial software and GMP regulations.
- Advanced accounting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in SAP, ERP systems and accounting software.
- Ability to make informed decisions and provide strategic guidance.
