Role Overview
As VP Accounts Payable Ops & Transformation, you will lead complex AP and procurement operations, drive transformation programs for large clients, and act as a senior advisor across cross-functional enterprise initiatives. The role demands strong domain depth, operating rigor, people leadership, and the ability to connect strategy with execution.
We are looking for a senior Accounts Payable and Operational Procurement leader to drive large-scale delivery, transformation, and solutioning across enterprise clients. This role will play a critical part in shaping the AP service line, supporting large deals, and building future-ready P2P capabilities aligned with long-term business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale Accounts Payable (70%) and Operational Procurement (30%) operations
- Drive end-to-end F&A/ P2P transformation programs for large enterprise and Fortune 500 clients
- Act as senior solution leader for big and mega deals and represent the service line during key client engagements
- Own and drive critical strategic programs including IP build and long-term transformation initiatives
- Establish strong operating rigor with tight inventory management, capacity planning, and metric-driven performance tracking
- Lead, engage, and motivate large multi-location teams (150+ FTEs)
- Work cross-functionally with enabling teams and enterprise stakeholders
- Lead development of future-ready solutions leveraging AI/ML, intelligent workflows, e-invoicing, and emerging technologies
- Partner with Product and Technology teams to ensure strong AP domain depth in digital offerings
- Drive initiatives around e-invoicing, working capital improvement, benchmarking, case studies, and standard methodologies
- Engage with industry analysts (HfS, Everest) and understand value-based commercial models
Must-Have Experience
- Strong functional expertise in Accounts Payable and Operational Procurement
- Proven experience delivering AP/P2P solutions across multiple industry verticals (Banking preferred)
- Hands-on exposure to modern AP/P2P tools and platforms (ERPs, workflows, invoice exchange, automation)
- Experience with platforms such as Ariba, Coupa, Tungsten, PeopleSoft (preferred)
- Proven ability to drive operating discipline in large, metric-driven environments
- Strong CXO-level stakeholder engagement and cross-cultural collaboration skills
