About ZIWO

ZIWO is a leading Omnichannel Cloud Contact Center Software (CCAAS) supporting customer communications across Phone, WhatsApp, SMS, and more. Our platform integrates seamlessly with most CRMs and third-party apps via open APIs and serves businesses in 145+ countries, including across the GCC.

As a fast-growing B2B SaaS provider, ZIWO is redefining cloud contact center technology by delivering carrier-grade voice infrastructure, high-availability systems, and globally reliable network performance.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced VOIP & Network Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. This senior-level role focuses on designing, deploying, and optimizing carrier-grade VoIP systems and ensuring the reliability, stability, and performance of ZIWO's global voice and network stack.

You will work across VoIP technologies, cloud networking, and modern containerized environments, contributing to a platform that powers mission-critical communications worldwide.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, build, and deploy carrier-grade VoIP infrastructure.
  • Deploy and manage VoIP, SIP, PBX, and unified communications platforms (FreeSwitch / Asterisk / Kamailio).
  • Integrate voice systems with network infrastructure and external applications.
  • Optimize call routing, QoS, and voice-specific security protocols.
  • Deploy and manage VoIP/Network solutions in Docker / Kubernetes environments.
  • Implement systems to monitor voice quality using tools like Homer, and ensure SLA-driven voice performance.
  • Configure LAN/WAN environments: routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, SD-WAN, load balancers.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues related to latency, jitter, packet loss, and downtime.
  • Implement SIP trunking, SBCs, number routing, and modern IP-based call flow architectures.
  • Plan and execute migrations from legacy telephony (analog/PRI) to IP-based platforms.
  • Use tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, and platform-level diagnostics to debug complex voice issues (call drops, one-way audio, registration failures).
  • Design and maintain failover systems, redundant SIP trunks, and resilient routing plans.
  • Maintain services post-launch by monitoring availability, latency, and system health.
  • Automate workflows to remove manual or error-prone processes.
  • Apply cloud tooling (AWS, OCI, and others) to improve time-to-market.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for alerts and incidents outside normal hours.
