Job Description

POSITION: VOIP Engineer

REPORTS TO: Director of Telephony Implementation 

LOCATION: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, but are not limited to:

We're looking for a VOIP Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be a member of the team responsible for deploying voice installations, resources, and processes utilizing innovative technologies to deliver world-class solutions to the hospitality market. Must have Hosted and On-Prem PBX experience.

 

The ideal candidate will be a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.  The candidate must have a firm grasp of telephony technology and deployment experience in the hospitality industry. The candidate must have a strong customer focus.  The ideal self-starter candidate is driven to innovate with smart, efficient, and highly reliable solutions. The ideal candidate is comfortable working hands-on and leading teams to test, deploy, and integrate new products and services with our customers environment. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

  • Review the equipment lists to ensure accuracy. 
  • Work with the Project Management Team to schedule implementation and communicate with said PM throughout the project. 
  • Program systems remotely. 
  • Manage all processes as they relates to voice implementation deployments, and hand-off to support. 

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Industry-leading knowledge of all telephony products, including Mitel, SIP, and E911 
  • Certified on Mitel MiVoice Business 
  • Also knowledge of other applications within the Mitel profolio 
  • Knowledge of Micontact Center, Mitel Border Gateway, and Mitel Standard Linux 
  • Minimum associate degree or 8-10 years of relevant comparable experience 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in large-scale voice installations in the lodging industry is a plus 
  • Deep and strong network knowledge as it relates to voice (VoIP) 
  • Ability to read and determine PCAPs 
  • Understand BGP Routing, VPN, etc 
  • Knowledge of various virtualization technologies (VMware) 
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities as it relates to programming and network infrustructure 
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relations. 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Network+, CCENT, CCNA; active or expired 
  • Experience with configuration application in VMWare environment 
  • Experience with LAN Technology 
  • Experience with infrastructure.
