Job Description

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Provideskill-based training (tailoring, computer literacy, crafts, electrical, carpentry, etc.) adapted to the abilities of differently-abled trainees.
  • Assess thestrengths, interests, and limitations of trainees to design individualized training plans.
  • Modify teaching methods, tools, and materials to suitspecial needs learners (visual, hearing, intellectual, physical disabilities).
  • Encourage the development oflife skills and soft skills (communication, teamwork, time management).
  • Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive workshop/classroom environment.
  • Maintain training records, progress reports, and provide regular feedback to trainees and parents/guardians.
  • Coordinate withrehabilitation specialists, therapists, and employers for holistic development and placement support.
  • Facilitateexposure visits, internships, and on-the-job training opportunities.
  • Motivate trainees to build confidence and pursue independent living/employment.
  • Requirements
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability.
  • Knowledge ofdisability-specific teaching strategies .
  • Strong technical expertise in the trade/skill being taught.
  • Effective communication and counseling skills.
  • Ability to inspire confidence and independence in trainees.
  • Team collaboration with therapists, educators, and social workers.
