Job Description:

810 years total IT infrastructure experience

Minimum 4+ years hands-on with Azure Stack HCI / Azure Local

Minimum 6+ years VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) experience

Experience in enterprise cluster deployments and workload migrations is mandatory

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Azure Local & VMware Engineer to support cluster design, deployment, workload migration, and knowledge transfer activities as part of an enterprise infrastructure transformation engagement.

The role involves end-to-end execution from design workshops through deployment, migration, testing, hypercare, and handover documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead design workshops and requirement discovery sessions

Own Azure Local cluster architecture and high-level solution design

Review and approve deployment configurations

Define migration strategy and approach

Oversee testing, validation, and sign-off documentation

Drive risk mitigation and escalation management

Lead customer communication and stakeholder alignment

Conduct final knowledge transfer and solution walkthrough

Solution Testing & Validation

Perform functional and performance validation

Document testing outputs and validation reports

Ensure compliance with agreed design standards

Workload Migration

Conduct workload discovery and assessment

Develop migration solution design

Build and configure migration framework

Execute workload migrations from VMware to Azure Local

Perform migration testing and validation

Provide post-migration hypercare support

Knowledge Transfer & Documentation

Deliver knowledge transfer sessions to customer IT teams
