A role in the Education sector focused on Early Childhood and Pre-Primary schooling. The position supports holistic development through play-based, activity-led lessons that prepare children for formal schooling. This is an on-site teaching role based in Mangalore, ideal for passionate educators who create safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom experiences for young learners.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and deliver age-appropriate, play-based daily lessons that build foundational literacy, numeracy, motor, and social skills.
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment with clear routines, behaviour guidance, and health & hygiene practices.
- Observe and document children's developmental progress; prepare concise progress notes and share updates with parents during conferences.
- Prepare activity materials, learning centres, and visual displays that reinforce learning objectives and encourage exploration.
- Collaborate with co-teachers, teaching assistants, and school leadership to align curriculum, classroom strategies, and remedial support.
- Participate in staff training, parent meetings, and school events; support classroom upkeep and inventory management.
Skills & Qualifications Must-Have
- Diploma or certificate in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Proven classroom experience in preschool / pre-primary settings with strong classroom management skills.
- Demonstrable ability in lesson planning and delivering play-based learning and early literacy instruction.
- Comfortable with child observation, basic record-keeping, and conducting parent-teacher interactions.
Preferred
- Familiarity with Montessori or activity-based teaching methodologies.
- First Aid/CPR certification and local language proficiency (Kannada) for effective parent engagement.
