Job Summary:
Veerayatan is looking for a creative and passionate Videographer & Video Editor to capture and craft compelling visual stories that showcase the organization's work and impact.
This role involves end-to-end video production—from conceptualization and field shoots to editing and final delivery—helping bring real stories of change to life for digital platforms, campaigns, and donor engagement.
Key Respobsibilities:
(A) Video Production & Field Shoots:
- Plan and execute video shoots across project locations, events, and field activities
- Capture high-quality footage including interviews, testimonials, b-roll, and documentary-style content
- Travel to field locations to document on-ground impact stories
(B) Video Editing & Post Production:
- Edit videos for social media, website, campaigns, and presentations
- Add music, voiceovers, subtitles, graphics, and transitions to enhance storytelling
- Create different formats such as short-form reels, long-form videos, and documentaries
(C) Storytelling & Concept Development:
- Collaborate with content and communication teams to conceptualize video ideas and storyboards
- Translate program narratives into engaging and emotionally compelling video content
- Ensure storytelling aligns with Veerayatan's values and messaging
(D) Digital Content & Platform Optimization:
- Adapt videos for platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook
- Optimize content for engagement, reach, and audience relevance
- Maintain consistency in tone, branding, and visual quality
(E) Equipment & Production Management:
- Manage and maintain video equipment (camera, audio, lighting)
- Ensure proper storage, organization, and backup of raw and edited footage
- Stay updated with latest trends, tools, and techniques in video production
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Film Making, Mass Communication, Media, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in videography and editing (NGO/social sector experience preferred)
- Strong portfolio/showreel showcasing storytelling and editing skills
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects
- Strong understanding of cinematography, framing, lighting, and sound recording
- Ability to tell powerful visual stories with emotional depth and clarity
- Creativity with attention to detail and storytelling flow
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics and animation (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and manage tight deadlines
