About the Role
Join our dynamic EdTech team in Coimbatore! We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Video Editor to produce engaging, high-quality educational videos that drive student success. This is a pivotal role requiring strong technical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to working with academic and creative professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Video Production & Editing
- Transform raw footage into polished, high-impact video content for educational platforms.
- Work across diverse formats: explainer videos, lecture series, promotional clips, and social media content.
- Apply expert colour correction, colour grading, and colour node structures for visual consistency.
- Integrate professional motion graphics, titles, lower thirds, transitions, and sound effects.
- Ensure all videos meet strict brand guidelines, quality standards, and project deadlines.
2. Technical Expertise & Workflow
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in industry-standard editing software, including:
- Final Cut Pro
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- DaVinci Resolve
- Optimize and render videos for platforms like LMS, YouTube, and social media channels.
- Maintain a highly organized workflow, including managing project files, assets, and reliable backups.
- Solid understanding of technical elements: colour nodes, sound design, codecs, and export formats.
3. Collaboration & Creative Input
- Work closely with content creators, subject experts, and the marketing team to execute creative briefs effectively.
- Actively contribute to storyboarding and shot planning.
- Provide creative input on visual style, pacing, and digital storytelling to enhance learning.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven, relevant experience as a Professional Video Editor. Experience in the EdTech or digital content sector is a significant advantage.
- Software Mastery: Expert command of Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, and DaVinci Resolve.
- Creative Aptitude: Strong creative mindset and excellent visual storytelling skills.
- Work Ethic: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive under tight deadlines.
- Education (Preferred): Bachelor's degree in Film Editing, Multimedia, Communication, or a related field.
- Location: Excellent communication and collaboration skills suitable for our team environment in Coimbatore.
