At Sutradhaar Films, we are building some of India's most addictive vertical micro-drama content.

We create fast-paced, emotionally charged stories designed for mobile audiences - packed with twists, cliffhangers, romance, betrayal, revenge, and binge-worthy storytelling that keeps millions hooked till the final frame.

Our shows typically run 45-55 episodes, with each episode averaging around 2 minutes.

This is not traditional long-format editing.

This is precision storytelling at high speed.

We are now looking for a highly skilled Video Editor who can thrive in a fast-moving creative environment and deliver premium-quality edits under tight deadlines.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Video Editor at Sutradhaar Films, you will be responsible for editing complete vertical micro-drama series from raw footage to final delivery.

You will work closely with directors, writers, producers, and clients to shape emotionally engaging narratives optimized for mobile-first viewing.

This role demands speed, discipline, storytelling instinct, and the ability to perform under pressure without compromising quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Edit vertical micro-drama episodes in 9:16 format optimized for mobile platforms.

• Deliver a complete show (90–100 minutes total runtime) within strict timelines of 7–10 days.

• Build emotionally engaging pacing, dramatic rhythm, and cliffhanger endings that maximize retention and bingeability.

• Execute clean cuts, seamless transitions, impactful reaction timing, and cinematic storytelling.

• Collaborate closely with directors and creative teams to align edits with the storytelling vision.

• Incorporate multiple rounds of feedback from internal teams and clients efficiently.

• Handle dialogue syncing, background score placement, sound effects, and emotional audio layering.

• Perform basic color correction, visual cleanup, and overall polish.

• Manage timelines, project organization, file structures, and version control professionally.

• Ensure exports and final deliveries meet platform-specific technical standards.

REQUIRED SKILLS & SOFTWARE

• Advanced expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro (Mandatory).

• Strong working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve and Adobe After Effects.

• Experience with AI-powered post-production tools such as Runway, Topaz, Descript, Adobe AI tools, etc.

• Strong understanding of storytelling psychology, emotional pacing, and audience retention.

• Experience editing fast-paced content such as web series, reels, short-form drama, OTT content, or creator-led storytelling.

• Understanding of vertical-video grammar and mobile-first storytelling formats.

• Strong sense of sound design, dramatic timing, and music integration.

• Good knowledge of codecs, export settings, compression, and delivery workflows.

EXPERIENCE

• 2–5+ years of professional editing experience preferred.

• Prior experience in web series, short-form storytelling, reels, YouTube fiction, or high-volume content production is a strong advantage.

• Portfolio/showreel links showcasing relevant work are mandatory.
