We are hiring a full-time Video Editor who is skilled in both short-form and long-form content creation. This is not a one-size-fits-all editing role you need to be equally strong in two very different formats:
Short-Form Content (Ads & Reels)
You'll be editing advertisement videos, Instagram/Facebook Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts. These are fast-paced, attention-grabbing pieces that need to hook viewers within the first few seconds. You should know how to create punchy edits with strong visual rhythm, engaging text overlays, trending audio, and smooth transitions that drive engagement and conversions.
Long-Form Content (YouTube Vlogs/Content)
You'll also be editing longer videos for our YouTube channel vlogs, educational content, and brand storytelling. This requires a completely different skill set: pacing a story over 1030+ minutes, using b-roll effectively, maintaining viewer retention through smooth cuts, building energy and momentum, and delivering a polished final product that keeps people watching all the way through.
We need someone who truly understands content not just the technical side of editing, but why certain edits work, how pacing affects retention, and what makes a viewer stop scrolling or keep watching.
Responsibilities
Edit short-form advertisement and reel content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
Edit long-form vlog and brand content for YouTube
Create smooth, well-paced cuts with clean transitions
Add and sync b-roll footage, music, sound effects, and voiceovers
Apply text overlays, lower thirds, captions, and on-screen graphics
Color correct and color grade footage for a consistent, professional look
Understand the difference in editing style between short-form ads and long-form storytelling and execute both at a high level
Stay current with content trends, platform algorithms, and what's performing well
Collaborate with the team on creative direction, take feedback, and iterate quickly
Deliver edits on time, every time
Requirements
Must-Have:
Proven experience editing both short-form (ads, reels, shorts) and long-form (YouTube, vlogs) content please have samples of both ready to share
Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or other professional editing software (DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
Strong understanding of pacing, timing, and smooth cuts
Ability to tell a story through editing knowing when to speed up, slow down, add tension, or let a moment breathe
Good ear for music selection, sound design, and audio mixing
Knowledge of what makes content perform on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook
Reliable internet connection and a computer capable of handling video editing workloads
Strong communication skills and ability to take creative feedback
Detail-oriented with high standards for quality
Nice-to-Have:
Experience with motion graphics or Adobe After Effects
Thumbnail design skills
Understanding of YouTube SEO and audience retention strategies
Experience editing talking-head, interview, or podcast-style content
Familiarity with ad creative best practices and direct response marketing
Experience with color grading tools (Lumetri, DaVinci Resolve color panel)
Compensation & Benefits
$650$900 per month based on your experience level and the quality of your work
Full-time position 40 hours per week
