Job Summary:
- Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology (RIT) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to produce high-quality visual content that supports academic communication, branding, and marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and a keen sense of storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and assemble raw footage into polished videos for digital, academic, and promotional use
- Work in motion graphics, animations, and visual effects to enhance content quality
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand project requirements and deliver creative solutions
- Ensure all outputs align with institutional branding and communication standards
- Manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines
- Perform basic color correction, audio editing, and final rendering
Mandatory Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects
- Strong hands-on experience with Adobe Premiere Pro
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
- Understanding of video formats, codecs, and export settings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Media, Design, Visual Communication, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in video editing and post-production
- Experience in motion graphics and animation is an added advantage
- Familiarity with digital and social media content formats
