Key Responsibilities
1. On-Field Videography & Production
- Event & Campus Coverage: Execute multi-camera or single-camera shoots for university events, including convocations, cultural fests, national seminars, guest lectures, VIP visits, and sports meets.
- Promotional & Branding Campaigns: Film high-quality marketing materials, campus tour videos, high-impact social media reels/shorts, and student/alumni testimonial videos.
- Technical Execution: Set up and operate professional mirrorless/DSLR cameras, gimbals, multi-channel wireless microphones, audio mixers, and studio or ambient three-point lighting setups.
- E-Learning Support: Record structured academic lectures, interviews, and instructional modules inside the university's media studio or green-screen setup.
2. Video Editing & Post-Production
- Assembly & Narrative: Review raw footage, organize project timelines, and trim sequences into cohesive, fast-paced, and engaging stories.
- Visual Enhancements: Integrate motion graphics, dynamic typography, standard lower-thirds, title screens, brand logos, and seamless transitions.
- Audio & Color Work: Perform multi-track audio synchronization, background score selection, sound clean-up (noise reduction), and cinematic color correction/grading.
- Multi-Platform Optimization: Format, render, and export video versions optimized for specific platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, the official website, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
3. Studio, Equipment & Asset Management
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain, organize, and safeguard all university media assets, including cameras, lenses, tripods, lights, and audio gear.
- Archiving & Storage: Establish a systematic digital file structure to store, backup, and archive raw footage and final project files for future institutional recall.
Required Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Visual Communication, Film Production, Mass Communication, Animation, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–5 years of proven experience as a videographer and editor (Prior experience working within an academic institution, ed-tech sector, or digital marketing agency is highly preferred).
- Portfolio Requirement: A strong, diverse portfolio or showreel demonstrating capabilities in both cinematography (framing, lighting) and post-production flow.
