NexGen Media is looking for a creative and experienced Video Editor who understands that editing is not just about cutting clips it's about building a story.

We are looking for someone who can shape the narrative arc of a video, maintain strong pacing, and enhance storytelling through editing. The ideal candidate should be able to visualize the final output, bring creative ideas to the table, and adapt editing styles across different content formats.

This role requires someone who can take ownership of projects and also lead or guide junior editors.

Key Responsibilities

Edit long-form and short-form videos with strong narrative flow

Structure edits around storytelling, pacing, and viewer engagement

Work closely with the content team to transform scripts into compelling videos

Use transitions, sound design, and visual storytelling techniques effectively

Maintain consistency in editing style and brand identity

Bring fresh creative ideas and editing styles for different content formats

Manage timelines and ensure timely delivery of projects

Guide and support junior editors when required.

What We're Looking For

Strong storytelling instincts through editing

High creativity and visualization ability

Proficiency in editing tools such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or similar

Strong sense of pacing, rhythm, and audience retention

Ability to take ownership and work independently

Team collaboration and leadership ability

Attention to detail and strong creative judgment.

Bonus if you have

Experience working with a content creator, YouTube channel, or digital media company

Understanding of audience retention strategies used in digital content

A strong portfolio demonstrating storytelling through editing.
