About the Role:

We're looking for a creative Video Editor to help us produce short-form video content for multiple financial advisor clients. These videos will primarily be shared on LinkedIn and YouTube, and will focus on personal branding, thought leadership, and professional storytelling.

You'll work with interview recordings (Provided to you via Descript) and turn them into engaging, scroll-stopping clips that feel conversational yet polished the kind of content that performs well across professional platforms.

What You'll Do

  • Review long-form interview recordings of financial advisors and identify the best clips (3060 seconds each) that make sense as standalone posts.
  • Edit videos using Descript, Premier Pro, After Effects (or similar editing software) ensuring smooth transitions, pacing, and narrative flow.
  • Clean up audio and video quality - remove noise, adjust lighting or contrast, and ensure everything is in sync.
  • Add subtitles, captions, animations, b-roll to make the videos more engaging and visually appealing.
  • Incorporate simple effects, text overlays, and emojis where appropriate to match modern, viral-style short content.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all videos while tailoring each one to fit the advisor's tone and message.
  • Collaborate with the internal team for feedback and revisions as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong English comprehension: you must understand and identify meaningful, valuable clips from professional conversations.
  • Proficiency in Descript, Premiere Pro, or similar video editing tools.
  • Experience editing for LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, or Instagram Reels.
  • A good eye for pacing, flow, and storytelling - especially when editing professional talking-head style content.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver consistent output.
  • Bonus: Experience working with financial or B2B content.

Ideal Candidate:

You enjoy turning raw, unedited conversations into sharp, compelling short videos. You understand how to capture attention quickly, edit cleanly, and make something professional yet relatable. If you've worked on personal brand or thought-leadership videos before - that's a big plus.
