Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced
Video Editor to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in professional video editing and a passion for producing high-quality, engaging content. You will work closely with content creators, instructional designers, and other team members to bring concepts to life and deliver visually compelling videos that align with our brand standards.
Responsibilities
- Edit and assemble raw footage into polished videos, ensuring a coherent and engaging final product.
- Collaborate with content creators, instructional designers, and other team members to understand project goals and objectives.
- Utilize software such as Final Cut Pro (FCP), Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop to enhance video quality and add effects, graphics, and animations.
- Ensure all videos adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent look and feel.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of quality.
- Provide creative input and propose new ideas for video content and presentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional video editing experience.
- Proficiency in Final Cut Pro (FCP), Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of video editing principles, including pacing, timing, and storytelling.
- Prior experience in the edtech field is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience creating educational videos or working within an educational environment.
- Familiarity with current trends and best practices in video editing and production.
