Job Description

Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP) Kerala, A Government of Kerala Company, invites online application for the position of Academic Counsellors and Tele calling Intern on contract basis .Interested candidates may apply via ONLINE mode only by filling the prescribed application form given in the website of ASAP (www.asapkerala.gov.in/careers/).

Video Editor and Digital Media Specialist

Number of Vacancy: 1

Educational Qualification: Bachelors Degree/Diploma in relevant field shall be preferred

  • Candidates with any graduate qualification and proven relevant professional experience in video editing and digital media may apply.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Media Studies / Mass Communication / Visual Communication / Film & Television / Digital Media / Animation / Multimedia, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years

Salary: Rs 28,000/- to Rs.35,000/- (Depending on experience and last drawn compensation) Salary certificate from the last employer is mandatory.

Job type: Full-time (On contract basis)

Skills Required

Video Editing & Motion Graphics

  • Strong working knowledge of professional video editing and motion graphics tools, including:
  • Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Adobe After Effects
  • DaVinci Resolve / Final Cut Pro
  • Proven track record of handling end-to-end video production, including concept development, shooting, editing, and final output delivery.
  • Familiarity with mobile and social-first editing tools such as CapCut, iMovie, and Instagram native editing tools.

Design & Visual Skills

  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in:
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe Lightroom

Digital & Social Media

  • Good understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn) and content formats such as Reels, Shorts, Stories, and Campaign Videos.
  • Ability to edit videos optimized for reach, engagement, and platform algorithms.
  • Experience in camera handling will be considered as an added advantage.

Job Description

The Video Editor and Digital Media Specialist will be pivotal in creating, editing, and distributing visual and multimedia content. This role demands a creative professional with strong technical skills to produce high-quality videos and manage digital media projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Video Production: Edit raw footage into polished videos for a variety of platforms, including social media, websites, and marketing campaigns.
  • Content Creation: Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to develop video concepts, storyboards, and scripts that effectively communicate our brand message.
  • Digital Media Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of digital media projects, including video, audio, and graphic content.
  • Post-Production: Handle all aspects of post-production, including colour correction, sound editing, special effects, and motion graphics.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple video and digital media projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project guidelines.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all video and digital content aligns with the brand's visual identity and voice.
  • Technology Utilisation: Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing software, tools, and trends to continuously improve content quality and efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including graphic designers, writers, and marketing professionals, to ensure cohesive and integrated digital media strategies. Assist and support the Social Media Manager with activities.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyse the performance of digital media content and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Asset Management: Organise and maintain a library of digital assets, including raw footage, completed videos, and project files.
  • Camera Operation: Knowledge on how to operate cameras, setup lighting and audio equipment to capture professional footage in various environments.
