Position Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Video Editor with a strong understanding of Christian faithbased content and hands-on experience editing videos for digital platforms. The role focuses on visual storytelling, technical editing excellence, and audience engagement, not writing.

The ideal candidate should be able to transform raw footage into impactful, polished, and platform-optimized videos that communicate spiritual messages, testimonies, and technology-driven narratives clearly and creatively.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

Core Video Editing Expertise:

1. 34 years of professional video editing experience with a strong, relevant portfolio
2. Strong command over:

Video pacing & storytelling flow

Clean cuts, transitions, and visual continuity

Color correction & basic color grading

Audio syncing, sound cleanup, and music integration

3. Ability to edit long-form content (sermons, interviews, teachings, tech explainers)

4.Ability to create short-form content (Reels, Shorts, social clips) from long videos

Faith-Based Content Understanding

Good understanding of Christian beliefs, biblical values, and faith-based communication

Sensitivity in editing spiritual messages, sermons, testimonies, worship, and inspirational videos

Ability to enhance spiritual impact through visual emphasis, timing, music, and pacing

Familiarity with Christian audiences and content tone expectations

Social Media & YouTube Video Editing

Strong experience editing videos for:

YouTube (primary platform)

Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X

Knowledge of:

YouTube retention-focused editing (hooks, pacing, viewer engagement)

Platform-specific formats (vertical, square, landscape)

Experience adding:

1. Subtitles / captions
2. Lower thirds, overlays, callouts, and on-screen text
3. Intro/outro templates and branding elements
4. Ability to collaborate on thumbnail direction and video structure (not design-heavy)

Technical & Digital Content Exposure

1. Experience editing videos related to technology, IT services, cloud solutions, SaaS, or digital transformation
2. Ability to visually simplify complex or technical subjects

Familiarity with:

1. Screen recordings
2. Explainer-style visuals
3. Simple motion graphics (icons, text animations)

Skills Required Video Editing Tools & Software

Mandatory Skills

Adobe Premiere Pro professional-level proficiency for editing long-form and short-form videos

Preferred / Additional Skills:

1. Adobe After Effects for motion graphics, text animations, lower thirds, and visual enhancements
2. DaVinci Resolve color correction and basic color grading
3. Final Cut Pro acceptable alternative experience
4. Adobe Audition audio cleanup, noise reduction, and voice clarity
5. Photoshop or Canva basic thumbnail support and visual assets
6. CapCut / VN / similar tools short-form vertical video editing for Reels, Shorts, and social media clips
